COLVILLE CONFEDERATEDTRIBES

The Confederated Tribes of

the Colville Reservation was established in 1872 and covers 1.4 million acres

in Okanogan and Ferry Counties. Lands are diverse with natural resources

including timber, streams, rivers, minerals, native plants, and wildlife. The

ColvilleTribal Museum,

located in Coulee Dam,provides a glimpse of the

rich heritage of the people with historical displays of early Indian settlements,

history and lifestyles of the twelve bands that comprise the Confederated

Tribes of the Colville Reservation. The

4th of July PowWow

is theTribes

largest cultural event and attracts the best singers and dancers throughout

Indian Country. Stick games and a parade accompany the celebration. Early

spring features the

Sun Flower Festival

at Paschal Sherman Indian School

and an

Indian Encampment

is held the 2nd weekend ofAugust during the

Omak Stampede &World Famous Suicide Race

in Omak. Colville

Tribal Casinos is pleased to present their newest property the 12 Tribes

Resort Casino located in Omak, open now. Featuring a 56,000 square foot

gaming floor with slot machines & table games, two restaurants, a lounge,
