20 fromTwisp, left on Twin Lakes Rd for 1.2 mi.
MVSTA Suspension Bridge
•Winthrop • Great for
kids and families, nice shady trail for wildlife watching and
birdwatching. From Hwy 20 at milepost 184.9, turn north
onto Goat Creek Dr. 3.7 miles • MVSTA.com.
Winthrop Fish Hatchery
•Winthrop • Tour newly

Twisp Ponds DiscoveryWalk
• Easy river walk (1 ½ to
2 miles) with interpretive ecological signage.At the edge of
Twisp city limits on the Twisp River Road.
HEART OF THE OKANOGAN
Conconully State Park
• 81-acre camping park with
lake, shade trees, and maintained lawns. From Hwy 97,
west on Johnson Creek Rd, continue 6.5 miles. North onto
Conconully Rd & drive 11 more miles. (The only state park
within city limits!)
Scotch CreekWildlife Area
• 10 miles northeast of Omak
and Okanogan on Conconully Hwy, 9,067 acres.
Tunk CreekWildlife Area
• From Omak, drive N to
Riverside, turn right, cross Okanogan River, then left onto Tunk
Valley Rd, 15 miles to sign. 1,080 acres.
