There is a small dirt launch at mid lake. Trout are planted in Molson in spring and the fall to keep the fishing primed. There is a wonderful event in the winter that attracts ice fishing en- thusiasts from all over the state and beyond. The North- west Ice Fishing Festival has been going on for years and is one of the best community fishing events.It always happens on the Saturday of Martin Luther King Weekend. There is a great breakfast and lunch, as well as the fishing derby tournament, arts & crafts show, Bingo and other ac- tivities that make visiting the town of Molson in the winter memorable.
